The matter transmitter is a device devised by Hieronymus Fox in 2491 CE.

Fox employs his invention to send gags and other hints to New Chicago for William "Buck" Rogers's attention, leading up to the New Year's Eve festivities in Deckel 31 of 2491 (BR25: "A Blast for Buck").
