William "Buck" Rogers with a wrist imager removed from a Saurian infiltrator aboard Searcher (BR25: "Mark of the Saurian").

A wrist imager is a Saurian device employed for the use of generating an "image" (sight, sound, and mannerism) of a subject—typically an individual—for purposes of subterfuge and espionage.

The imager is a device worn on the user's wrist via two flexible metal bands attached to the body of the device. It requires some adjustment, and those afflicted with the Cygnus Fever (as in William "Buck" Rogers's case in 2492 CE) are able to see a "green glow" around subjects employing the imager by means unexplained.

This helps thwart the plan of Saurian agents attempting to incite a new conflict with the Earth Directorate, as they make use of these imagers to impersonate Ambassador Cabot, and his advisors (including Dr. Moray), in addition to Major Elif aboard the Delta Quadrant Defense Station (BR25: "Mark of the Saurian").

Notes

  • The wrist imager shares the same sculpt and construction as the wrist computron prop from Galactica 1980. The body is painted an antique gold with gold metal watch bands attached to its underside for the performer to wear. These were either new props made from the same molds, or reuses of existing props from Galactica 1980.
