While DeWindt is better known to genre fans as Lieutenant Deitra in the Original Series, she guest-starred in the Buck Rogers in the 25th Century two-part episode "Planet of the Slave Girls."
DeWindt also appeared as a stewardess in the Galactica 1980 episode "The Night the Cylons Landed, Part I", making the actress one of a handful of actors to have roles in both the Original Series and its spin-off.
DeWindt worked with Battlestar series creator Glen Larson in other Larson shows, including minor roles in B.J. and the Bear and Quincy M.E..
