Sheila Wills (sometimes credited as Sheila DeWindt) is an American actress.
DeWindt portrayed Lieutenant Deitra in the Original Series.
DeWindt also appeared as a stewardess in the Galactica 1980 episode "The Night the Cylons Landed, Part I", making the actress one of a handful of actors to have roles in both the Original Series and its spin-off.
DeWindt worked with Battlestar series creator Glen Larson in other Larson shows, including minor roles in B.J. and the Bear, Buck Rogers in the 25th Century, and Quincy M.E..
Personal life
The actor's workshop Wills attended in 1975 was run by producer/director/actor Hal DeWindt. Wills and DeWindt married two years later. The couple divorced in 1981, and the actress returned to using the name Wills some years later. Following her divorce, Wills had a relationship with Miami Vice actor Philip Michael Thomas (who co-starred with Re-imagined Series star Edward James Olmos). Wills and Thomas had two children together, Melody and India.
Notes
- At the time, Battlestar Galactica was filmed, she was married to Hal DeWindt and that's why she is credited as DeWindt.
