The following is a list of templates used in this Wiki. To look at all Templates within this Wiki click here.
This is also the home for creation of new templates. As there are high standards for templates, which include proper documentation for end-user ease-of-use, these guidelines have been established.

Endnote/Footnote References

- {{From RDM blog}} - Used to cite RDM's blog.
- {{sourcebox|optional}} - Used at the near bottom of articles to indicate that the article has sources that are internal to the wiki, and thus are part of the "Sources" namespace.
- {{citation needed}} - A citation of an acceptable source is needed for the current text.
- {{mainarticle|Article}} - Link to the main article. Good for section expansion pages. View template for more use.

- {{tlp|optional}} - This is meant to print pseudo syntax on how to use a template with optional fields.

- {{succession box}} - Used for successions, such as chains of command or leadership structures; must be placed between {{start box}} and {{end box}}
- {{next box}} - Used for inline navigation succession; must be placed between {{start box}} and {{end box}}

- {{spoiler}} - Meant for warning readers and contributors that a page contains spoilers, which should be placed on the very first line(s) of the spoiler-inclusive content of the page as per the Battlestar Wiki:Spoiler Policy.
- {{spoilerbelow}} - Same as above.
- {{spoiltext|Insert Spoiler}} - Meant for blacking out text which contains spoilers, as per the Spoiler Policy.
- {{spoilli|Insert Spoiler}} - Meant for blacking out text which contains spoilers, as per the Spoiler Policy. Used in lists.
- {{spoilinfo|Insert Spoiler'}} - Meant for blacking out text which contains spoilers, as per the Spoiler Policy. Used in infobox fields only.
Release dates and formats
- A series of templates used for keeping track of episode releases in various formats is available at Format release list. If you edit any of these templates double your efforts on the Format release list page as well.

Policy violations
- {{copyvio}} - Prints out a warning message on an article page, stating that the content of that page has been identified as a copyright violation and should be deleted in order to avoid copyright infringement issues.
- {{username}} - Prints out a notice on a user's page (i.e. User:John.Doe) that indicates that the user's name conflicts with the Usernames policy.
Used on Other Wikis
- {{imagevio}} - Prints out a warning message on an image description page that the image has been identified as a copyright violation, and thus should be deleted.

- {{DRVNote}} - For notes pertaining to Battlestar Wiki:Deletion review.

- {{cleanup}} - Outputs a note that the article in question has been marked for cleanup.
- {{merge}} - Used on an article for which a merge has been suggested.
- {{move}} - Used on an article or page where a move has been requested. See BW:MOVE.

- {{wrongtitle}} - Used when an article's name is wrong due to technical limitations.
