Welcome

Welcome to Buck Wiki!
Buck Wiki is an online reference covering every aspect of Buck Rogers in its various forms, with the exception of fan fiction and other fan produced content. It is maintained by volunteers from all over the globe, who are known as Archivists.

The type of content we provide includes episode guides, biographies, podcast transcripts, terminology, and other encyclopedic content.

As we use the same technology that runs the various language Buck Wikis, this resource is freely editable from your web-browser, without advanced technical skill. That means that anyone can contribute and still not know how to write code to a web page.

Contribute your work
You can improve Buck Wiki most if you contribute what you can do best:

If you are a good writer, feel free to take a hand in writing an article, or revising one to meet our Standards and Conventions. If you have done interviews and wish to license them under Creative Commons, add them here.

Contribute your skills
However you do not need to write your own articles. There is plenty of other very important work to do:
  • Go through the task list and copy edit articles.
  • Discuss and write help texts.
  • Translate our English articles into other languages!
  • Tell others about Buck Wiki, though bear in mind our representation policy.
Contribute your time
You even do not need to be good at writing help texts or watching the show regularly. If you feel at home with creating order from chaos, then we could use your helping hand!
Signing up
In order to be able to contribute to Buck Wiki, you need to be logged in. You can register at the "Log in / create account" link in the upper right corner and enter a user name that will be used at all of your uploads/edits on images and texts. Otherwise, you don't need an account to simply use us as a resource.
Beginning
Our first steps help file will help you a lot after registration. They explain how to customize the interface (for example the language), how to upload files and our basic licensing policy. You don't need technical skills in order to contribute here. Be bold contributing here and assume good faith for the intentions of others. This is a wiki — it is really easy.

More information is available at the Community Portal. if you have questions for any one of our chiefs, you may ask at the Chiefs' noticeboard.

Additional services
However if you are still afraid that it is too complicated for you or if you want to contribute larger amounts of your own stuff, you can even contact a user at the Directorate Counsel and ask for assistance.

We hope that you will enjoy it and have fun at the Buck Wiki repository.

Tutorial
