Rita is the former parental guardian for Felina Redding, after Amos Armat and Redding's mother surrender their child for adoption.

In 2491 CE, Rita receives a bouquet of flowering plants as a birthday gift from Redding, prompting Rita to leave a message for Redding thanking her for them. She also waxes poetic on the fact that Redding is one of the few children she raised who were truly thoughtful.

It was the first of two messages left for Redding before her abduction by one of Morgan Velosi's henchpeople (BR25: "Vegas in Space").
